If you have a Notion account, you can sign up for Notion Calendar with your Notion account. If you don’t already have a Notion account, no problem — when you sign up for Notion Calendar, a Notion account will be created for you using the same email address.

Once you’re signed up, you can integrate at least one of your calendars to get started. Additionally, you can connect Notion workspaces to Notion Calendar so that you can bring any calendar or timeline databases from those workspaces into Notion Calendar. Additionally, you’ll be logged into the same session across Notion Calendar and Notion so that signing into and out of one will also sign you into and out of the other.

When signing up for Notion Calendar, use an email address that you’ll always be able to access. For example, you might want to use a personal account rather than a work account in case you decide to leave your work organization. The account you use to sign up will be your primary account and you need access to the primary account to access Notion Calendar. You can always connect any work accounts or secondary accounts after signup!

Only one Notion account can be linked to your Notion Calendar account, but you can always integrate multiple calendars and Notion workspaces with your Notion Calendar account.

Notion Calendar asks only for the Google permissions that we absolutely need to make sure Notion Calendar works properly. These permissions are only used to access data on your behalf, never to read, edit, or delete it without direct action from you. Notion Calendar is verified by Google and can’t access any user data categorized as restricted. We’ll never see your Google password. You also have the ability to remove access at any time. Apple requires you to use an app-specific password for Notion Calendar to connect your iCloud account. To get this app-specific password:

  1. Log into your Apple account at https://account.apple.com/sign-in.

  2. Go to App-Specific Passwords and create a new password.

The app-specific password you log in with doesn’t allow Notion Calendar access to anything else than your calendar, contacts, and mail data. You can revoke your password at any time in your Apple account settings.

Only one Notion account can be linked to your Notion Calendar account, even if you have multiple calendars or Notion workspaces integrated with your Notion Calendar account.

This means that if you lose access to the Notion account you used to sign up for Notion Calendar, you’ll also lose access to your Notion Calendar.

If you want to change your linked Notion account, or you’ve lost access to the Notion account that you use to log into Notion Calendar, fill out this form and provide us with the email address you’re currently using for Notion Calendar as well as the new email address you’d like to use. We’ll do our best to respond within 72 hours of your submission.

  • If you’re told something went wrong when signing in with Google, try signing in again in a different browser. You can also select Sign into another account and try again with the same credentials.

  • If you get an authorization error when signing in with Google with a work email, it might be because an admin hasn’t approved Notion Calendar to be authorized with Google at your organization yet. To fix this issue, admins can:

    1. Sign into admin.google.com with their admin credentials.

    2. Go to SecurityAccess and data controlAPI controlsManage Google services.

    3. Under Configured apps, select View listAdd appOAuth app Name or Client ID.

    4. Find and select Notion Calendar, and from the app access options, choose Trusted.

  • If you’re not able to log in with your Apple account, make sure you’re using your app-specific password for Notion Calendar and not your Apple account password. Apple requires you to use a specific password for Notion Calendar — this password should consist of four groups of four letters, like abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop.
